An easy to use 6" (153mm) telescope. Great value for money and ideal for starting out.

The simplest, best value way to start out in astronomy. With a 6" telescope you will see clear, bright wide-field views of deep sky objects such as galaxies and nebulae. You will have sharp views of the moon and planets even at magnifications of 250x. You will see extraordinary detail in the moon's craters, be able to see the gap in Saturn's rings and details in Jupiter's atmosphere. A large number of galaxies, nebulae and start clusters will be visible. You may even begin to see the spiral structure of some galaxies.

Dobsonians give the best value for money of any type of telescope. You get a large aperture at an affordable price. The design is simple and solid. It consists of a solid tube and a wooden box-like mount. Setting up is as simple as putting the mount on the ground, slotting in the tube and attaching the springs. You navigate the night sky by moving the scope left and right, up and down, by hand. This is simple and intuitive for beginners when compared with more complicated mounts.

The Astronz-GSO 6" Dobsonian has a 6 inch (153mm) primary mirror with a focal length of 1,200mm and a focal ratio of f/8. GSO mirrors are made from optical quality BK7 glass and are limited only by diffraction, which means they achieve the theoretical maximum resolution possible for the size of the mirror. They are machined and polished to better than 1/12 wavelength, sometimes 1/16 wavelength, which is considerably better than the industry norm.

It comes with several extras, including a Crayford focuser for extra smooth focussing with no spring-back, a 6x30 finder scope, a 25mm Plossl eyepiece and 9mm Plossl eyepeice. It is ready to use out of the box.
